Rajasthan Royals skipper Shane Warne on Friday brought the curtains down on his illustrious career with an easy 10-wicket win over Mumbai Indians and the Australian spin legend hoped his four-year stint in the Indian Premier League helped Indian cricket.

The 41-year-old cricketer said he wants to be involved with the IPL and would discuss his further course of action with the franchises.

"When I retired in January 2007, I thought that's it, I'll sit back and watch the game, but I have had four great years in the IPL," Warne said.

"It's been a privilege and a pleasure to captain the Royals. It has been an honour. Hopefully, I've helped Indian cricket. I think there is a big future for some of the guys, the likes of Chavan, Meneria, they are gonna be benefited.

"You never say never, especially in my life. I would like to stay involved with the IPL somehow, whether it would be with the Royals or not that I have to discuss with the owners. They have been great to me, so I would be happy to help them," he added.

The Royals today provided the perfect send off to their inspirational skipper by beating Mumbai by 10 wickets, thanks to the allround display by Shane Watson and Warne said the opener's innings shows his class.
